Tip #8: Prioritize One Thing at a Time

    When we think of all the things we need to do during our busy days and weeks, we can get overwhelmed and not know where to start.  Prioritizing and taking things one step at a time can help our days seem less stressful. Some tips to help with that are:

      • Differentiate tasks that need to be done sooner than later- Focus on the things that need to be taken care of first so you can get those tasks out of the way and move on to the next thing.

      • Commit to doing one task at a time- Sometimes we work on a task for a little bit and move onto something else without finishing the other task.  We want to do multiple things at once and that can cause us to be more stressed.  When we fully finish a task, we feel accomplished and don’t have to look back, moving onto the next thing.

      • Learn to say no- You can say no to things, you aren’t obligated to say yes to everything.  Don’t commit to things if it’s going to cause you more stress throughout the week.  Do what’s best for you and your family to have a successful week.

    • Don’t waste the morning hours - set the pace for the day

    • Stay ahead of the game

    • Learn to say no

    • Make decisions based on what is good for your family
